Have you ever noticed the holes in bread? If not, or you are not quite sure, slice a piece of bread and look on the flat surface for the holes. They are all different shapes and sizes. They make the bread light, rather than dense. What makes the holes?

Why do some foods taste sour?
What is it that makes some foods taste sour? Sourness is caused by one kind of atom. You can make a dye to test foods for sourness. With the dye, you won't even need to taste the foods to find out how sour they are!
